20+ Years of Resources

Pavilion Help Center

If you need help finding health solutions, where do you start? What if you’re not able to financially access the care you need? What if you fall behind on other household bills because of expenses incurred during cancer treatment? What if you have a child in the hospital?

Under normal circumstances, identifying all these resources would be challenging and time-consuming. Under financial and healthrelated stress, they can be overwhelming. Fortunately, in Kosciusko County, we have the Pavilion Help Center.

The Pavilion Help Center’s roots go back to 2004, when the Medication Assistance program launched, and then added a Dental Assistance program a few years later. The Help Center program was started with the facility’s opening in 2009, and these programs merged and rebranded in 2023.

Today, the Pavilion Help Center provides Kosciusko County residents with access to healthcare by connecting individuals to appropriate health and wellness services and providing financial assistance to individuals challenged by a medical condition. K21 Health Foundation, alongside other funders such as Kosciusko County Community Foundation, has been committed to supporting this organization as it’s grown over the last 20+ years!

“The Pavilion Help Center sincerely appreciates the support of K21 Health Foundation in helping Kosciusko County residents access healthcare services through guidance and financial assistance. Their support allows so many people in our community to take meaningful steps toward meeting their healthcare needs.”

— Laura Deal-Decker, Director, Pavilion Help Center

THE RESOURCE CENTER

The Pavilion Help Center’s Resource Center provides information on services available to Kosciusko County residents needing health or other resources. The social worker meets with individuals one-on-one to determine their needs and what services are available to help fulfill those needs.

THE HEALTHCARE ASSISTANCE FUND

With the merger of the programs, K21 Health Foundation was proud to help the Pavilion Help Center birth a new legacy in 2023 through the Healthcare Assistance Fund, which financially assists Kosciusko County residents with access to medical care, medications, equipment, dental, vision, mental health and the cost of transportation to medical care. The goal of the fund is to ensure health services or solutions are provided for those who need help accessing care.

CANCER CARE FUND

The Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund financially assists Kosciusko County residents who are in treatment for cancer with household expenses, medicine, medical equipment, transportation and food costs that they would otherwise not be able to afford due to the financial effects of cancer on their household. The Cancer Care Fund is administered through the K21 Health Foundation.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR CHILDREN

Funds are available for local children with serious medical conditions and disabilities, such as travel to specialists, the cost of therapies, equipment, youth mental health expenses and more. This assistance is provided by the Good Samaritan Fund and other funds held at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.

We’re grateful to the Pavilion Help Center for their comprehensive approach to ensuring our community’s health care needs are met!
