A Decade of Caring
In 2013, no children’s therapeutic services existed within an hour of Kosciusko County. Rebecca Bazzoni, a physical therapist with a passion for helping kids, decided to fill that need by opening a pediatric clinic in Warsaw as a satellite location of another nonprofit, with support from K21 Health Foundation. The organization grew quickly, and in 2014, Rebecca formed a new nonprofit organization—Joe’s Kids.
Joe’s Kids equips children with diverse abilities to realize their full potential. The organization provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and tutoring services for children with special needs.
As Joe’s Kids continued to grow, so did their space needs. In 2016, Joe’s Kids doubled their capacity when they moved into a custom-designed office in a building owned by K21 Health Foundation. However, the demand for their services continued to rise, with 240 kids on the waiting list by 2023. The organization moved into a new location in early 2024, growing from their humble beginnings of 1,700 square feet in their first office building to 19,000 square feet in their new building!
K21 Health Foundation has been proud to support Joe’s Kids since their inception over 10 years ago. We continue to make sure their services are available to as many individuals in our community as possible as the lead donor in their most recent capital campaign for their new campus.
