As the year comes to a close and the holiday season encourages reflection, we’re filled with thanks—for our partners, our community and our shared commitment to improving health and wellness across Kosciusko County.

Universally accessible playgrounds create an environment that fosters inclusion, dignity and shared experiences for everyone, including those with physical, sensory, cognitive or social-emotional differences.

In 2013, no children’s therapeutic services existed within an hour of Kosciusko County. Rebecca Bazzoni, a physical therapist with a passion for helping kids, decided to fill that need by opening a pediatric clinic in Warsaw as a satellite location of another nonprofit, with support from K21 Health Foundation.

As the warmer months approach and school comes to a close, are you looking for ways for your kids to keep moving? K21 is proud to support local organizations in promoting children’s health in creative ways this summer, by providing the necessary tools and access to make physical activity fun for kids from all backgrounds.

Winona Lake, Ind. – Almost 10 years ago an organization was created by Ryan Burgher called Agaitas.  The organization was originally intended to reach families who could not afford summer camps, and he started with his favorite sport, soccer.

In 2018 Baker Youth Club approached K21 Health Foundation with an idea to get kids to move more by incorporating their love of technology with physical activity.

K21 Health Foundation staff and a few board members were excited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Tiger Recreation and Activity Center (TRAC).
